Partnering with the Cultural Association of Glossa, Skopelos and other like-minded organizations, the Sporades Islands Preservation Center will provide a backdrop and stage for cultural celebrations.

Loizia, a six day summer festival, and the May Day nature outing are two of many uniquely celebrated island customs. Other festive programs will be planned around our agricultural harvests of almonds, grapes, olives, plums, etc.

In collaboration with the local communities of the island chain, the SISLC will work together to identify the maritime, agricultural, vocational, environmental and cultural aspects worth preserving.

We will create exhibits, as well as educational and hands-on programs that demonstrate and support the preservation efforts we undertake. These exhibits will display the effects of preserving this disappearing way of life.
